Introduction
Starting off this project we had to read a book called "The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian" and the book was about a young boy who is different from others, and tries to find a place where he can fit in. The main thing that we wanted our project to be around by was the feeling of belonging. After reading the book we had to go into groups and we had to make spoken words, song, or skits about the book that we read.
House of Mango Street Performance
For this performance, we had to go into groups of four and what we had to do was perform a chapter of the book. The teacher gave us one chapter for each group; what we had to do first is read the chapter as a group. Then we had to assign lines for everyone in our group, and we werent just going to read the poem but we also had to make a rhythm or just sounds during the performance to make it more interesting. In my group we decided to do sound for some of the words, for example there was the word train in our chapter, so we made a sound of a train. We choose to do it like that because we wanted to make the chapter come to life in a way.

Dialogical Interview
For this interview, everyone got a partner selected randomly. My partner was Miguel, and after the teacher gave us a paper with some starting questions, we went outside to a quiet place. The interviews had to be 20 minutes each and we couldn't interrupt the person who was talking; we just had to let our partner talk for the whole 20 minutes, and the same would go for me. You can actually learn a lot from someone by just letting them talk for a few minutes.
Before we could make our final draft, we had a critique seccion with the eigh graders. We got a partner and we had to critique each other's work. I actually think we helped one another because it looked like she was not sure what else to add and I gave her some advice which i hope it helped her. The critique that she gave me was pretty good because she was specific and I got new ideas from her feedback. I think overall it was a great idea to do this because i'm pretty sure everyone got some good advice.
Self Portrait
In my self portrait, I chose to take a pictue of me jumping because for me that symbolizes that i'm a person who has a lot of energy and I try to always stay positive and be happy. I chose to take the picture in a background with trees and rocks because when I was little I woud always want to climb on trees and play a lot outside of my house because I had a lot of energy which ties with why I was jumping in the picture.. My hands in the picture are wide open because I wanted it to looked like I was an open person and I do not like to judge people and I try to always have an open mind. The picture was taken with a fish eye lence because I wanted my picture to look different from others, to stand out which i know other people used this lence but not as much as the normal lence.
I choose this article because I was interesting in knowing how an Apple article can be about belonging, and I actually had a lot of things that conected with the perfornamces.

The Script & Performance
At first, my group was kind of a mess, because some peope had one idea and other people had other ideas, but at the end we all got into an agreement and we choose to make out script about mexicans and americans culture. The point that we wanted to get across was that even if you are Mexican and have a Mexican culture or if you are American and have an American culture, we were still all the same and we still had similaities.

Reflection
How would you answer this question, “what tribes do you belong to?”. Has this answer changed since the beginning of the year?
My answer did change since the begining of school and now. If you would of asked me this question when the shool started I wold of told you that I belonged to the tribe of mexicans but now I kno that I am way more than that. I am a tribe of drwers, hot cheetos lover, drawing lover and way more stuff.
What did you learn about “writing for a client” that you want to remember in your next project?
Something that I think is kind of simple but it helped me a lot was the 20 minute interview. I think if you let someone talk for 20 minutes without interrupting them, you can learn a lot. Even if thehy get side track alitte, you will still learn from them because its their thughts and only theirs for 20 minutes.
What did you learn about descriptive writing that you want to remember about your next project?
Its not something new, but I would still like someone that I normally don't talk to, to give me feedback on my work because it really does help and more if its with soeone you don't really talk to because not only will you be focused, you will be able to talk to someone new.
What did you learn about collaboration that you want to remember in your next project?
I want to be able to hear everyone's voice in the group because some of the people who were in our group changed because they didnt had a voice and it was not so organized. Try and have someone in the goup be like a leader so the group will be organized and get things done.
