We were assigned a kid from the orphanage " La Cudad de los Angeles" & we had to create a handmade toy for the kid that we got assigned. My teacher decided to introduce the project by living a life of a little kid for a week!. We got to color, play with bubbles, read books, and we even watched a movie while eating Rice Krispies and drinking Caprisuns! It was so much fun to be able to do what we used to do when we were little kids!
I got assigned to make a toy for Daphne. She is a 9 year old girl, and I was actually so exited to be able to make a toy for her. At first I had absolutley no idea what a 9 year old would like to get, and I wanted to make something that she would actually get to use a lot, but after we did the 2 hour challenge i knew what I was going to make her.
For the 2 hour challenge, I had to work with a partner and come up with a design of a toy that we wanted to make for our kids, and we also had to make the design but obviously not witht the material that we actually wanted to make them with. After we were finished, we had to get it critiqued by our classmates, which was a good idea because it helped us figure out how to make our design way better.

PROCESS:
I decided to make a Bracelet Kit, because I thought that it would be a great gift to give to a 9 year old, and I just felt that she was going to like it.. wel i was hoping she would. The kit would have colored strings, charms, a box to put the strings and charms, a book that will tell her how to make the bracelets! In the middle of making the bracelet kit, I decided that I wanted to buy more stuff so she can have fun! I tried to think back to when I ws her age & what I liked t do, so I remembered that I really liked drawing and coloring! So i got her a backpack to put all her stuff in it,coloring books, white and lined paper, crayons, markers, etc.
